GIADA Fighting for Dealers: Help Defeat HB 1267

GIADA asked members to urge their state representatives to vote no on House Bill 1267.

GIADA asked every member to contact their local Georgia House member and ask them to vote no on House Bill 1267.

For the last five or six years, in an effort to fix the illegal use of temporary tags and dealer tags, some in the State House have pushed to over-regulate, add red tape, penalize and limit what independent used car dealers can do. HB 1267 did this, and it would have moved used car dealer licensing from the Used Car Board toward the Department of Revenue.

As GIADA put it, penalizing innocent dealers for something they or their employees may accidentally do is simply unjust.
