GIADA joined independent automobile dealers from across the country in Washington, D.C., for NIADA's 2026 National Policy Conference, held September 28–29 at the Willard InterContinental.
Dealers carried four priorities to Congress: reform of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, a national approach to catalytic converter theft with better transaction traceability, CFPB reform that brings regulatory clarity, and right to repair, which protects independent access to diagnostic data, tools, software and aftermarket parts.
The message throughout was practical, balanced policy that protects consumers, strengthens accountability and helps keep vehicles affordable.
